Spa Information

Punctuality

We encourage clients to arrive approximately 20 minutes prior to their appointment to allow time for check-in, changing and treatment preparations. Please be punctual as lateness to your appointment may require us to shorten your treatment time.

Medical Concerns

Please inform the staff when receiving treatment or making an appointment if you are pregnant or are suffering from injuries such as joint and muscle injury. Also inform us if you suffer from high blood pressure, if you have had recent surgery or are taking any skincare medications or medication that may cause you to be affected by treatment. Services to the body cannot be provided if you are pregnant. The stated conditions may affect what we can or cannot offer in terms of treatment.

Cancelling Your Appointment

We allow up to 24 hours prior to your appointment to cancel a reservation. A credit card number will be taken in order to book your reservation. Please be aware that if an appointment is missed without proper cancellation, your credit card on file will be charged in full regardless of attendance.

Communication

Establishing a healthy dialogue is great for providing excellent service so we implore clients to express any concerns, questions or expectations to their therapist before and during treatment. Doing so will ensure that they can provide service of your expectation to their best ability.

Chemical Peel Procedure

We offer a “Superficial” or “Lunchtime Peel”. A superficial chemical peel only penetrates the outer layer of skin to perform a gentle exfoliation.

This procedure:

Treats mild skin discoloration.

Gives the applied area a refreshed appearance.

Smoothens rough skin.

Prep and treatment

When receiving a peel a skin evaluation will be done and the skin will be prepped. Please inform the staff if you have any skin conditions or concerns that may affect you as chemicals are being applied to your skin to treat you. If at any time during the treatment you experience any intense “burning” or pain please inform staff immediately as your sensitivity or allergies may make you incompatible with the procedure. A warm or tingling sensation is normal, however pain or a feeling like burning should be pointed out immediately.

Post Peel Treatment

After receiving your superficial peel treatment there are several key steps to follow in order to ensure the most comfortable and best results from your procedure.

Avoid scratching or itching the treated area, instead if necessary apply a cold pad or compress to alleviate discomfort.

Apply lotion or cream if necessary to keep your skin moist, drying out of skin can cause cracking and diminish the effect of the procedure.

Wear sunscreen during the healing period to protect your fresh skin.

Care Period

The healing period is generally 1-7 days during which your skin will be red from the exfoliation. Scaling may develop once the redness disappears, which can last for up to a week. We instruct that you apply lotion or cream at home during the healing period as well as wearing sunscreen lotion to protect your skin. Being a very light peel, clients can usually begin to wear makeup immediately however if you experience a stronger reaction to the peel we recommend waiting until the following day. A follow up visit is not required, however more peels may be necessary to achieve the results desired. You may return for more peels once every 2 weeks until you see your desired results.
